LAURYN JONES

Lauryn Jones is a Second Year M.S. Narrative Medicine candidate at Columbia University. She hails from West Philadelphia where she was raised in a household steeped in the sounds of Hip Hop and Neo-Soul. Her work is greatly influenced by Hip Hop, RnB and the African American experience. In 2019, Lauryn presented her undergraduate research entitled My Mind’s Playing Tricks on Me: An Analysis of Hip Hop and Mental Health at Harvard GSE’s 2019 Hip Hop Education conference. This is her first publication, and she is excited to share her creative pursuits with the Poeticanet audience.
